Who We See

We work with children and teens ages 3+

Children and teens may come to therapy for a variety of reasons. We work with children and teens managing a host of concerns including: emotional difficulties, behavioral issues, bullying, trauma, family stressors,

interpersonal/peer difficulties,

identity formation, and self-esteem.

Young Man in Therapy

How it Works

For children 3-12: Parents will be involved regularly in parental guidance sessions throughout their child's treatment process. Parents will be included in their child's individual sessions on an as needed basis.

For children ages 13+: Parents will be intermittently involved in the treatment process through parental guidance sessions or conjoint meetings with the child/teen and therapist as needed.

Sessions

Sessions will be tailored to meet the needs of the individual client, teen, and family. Our overarching approach to treatment is

trauma-informed, person-centered, strengths-based, culturally

sensitive, and collaborative. We work from an integrative standpoint in that we incorporate elements from a range of clinical theories and practices into our work to best meet the client's needs including both talk and play based approaches.
