Background and Clinical Approach
Hello! I am a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s degree in Social Work from Texas State University in San Marcos. I bring over 10 years of experience supporting children and families across a variety of settings, including schools, child welfare, the nonprofit sector, and outpatient health care. I am currently working toward certification as a Registered Play Therapist under the supervision of Kamini Verma, LCSW, RPT-S.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in cultural humility. I believe healing happens when individuals feel truly seen, heard, and safe. I strive to build strong, authentic relationships with each of my clients to support meaningful growth and healing.
I draw from person-centered and trauma-informed frameworks, incorporating mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), expressive arts, and play therapy in my work.
I specialize in working with children, teens, and families navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and behavioral difficulties at home or in school.
