Background and Clinical Approach

Hi! I’m Judith Aguayo, a bilingual (English and Spanish) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 10 years of experience working with children, families, and underrepresented communities. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Arlington, Texas, and have specialized in school social work, child welfare, and crisis intervention.

My approach to therapy is rooted in compassion, cultural competence, and trauma-informed care. I’m passionate about providing culturally sensitive and accessible mental health services. As a Mexican immigrant, I have a deep understanding of the unique experiences faced by Latinx communities and am dedicated to creating a safe, supportive space for healing.
In addition to traditional therapy, I’m currently pursuing certification in Clinical Adventure Therapy, which allows me to incorporate outdoor activities, offering innovative ways to support mental health. I believe in a holistic, client-centered approach that empowers individuals to explore their strengths and overcome challenges. Whether you’re seeking support for yourself, your child, or your family, I’m here to guide you on your journey toward healing and well-being.

Outside of my professional life, I enjoy spending time outdoors, running, hiking, and camping—activities that help me recharge and reflect. In November, 2024, I completed my service as a Peace Corps Volunteer in North Macedonia, further expanding my skills and knowledge to bring back to my practice.

Let’s work together toward your mental health goals!
