Background and Clinical Approach

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Board-Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work, with a master’s degree from Catholic University of America in Washington DC. I am also a behavioral health officer within the Commissioned Corps. My career, spanning over seven years, has been rich and varied, encompassing roles in military and veteran healthcare facilities, hospice and palliative care environments, and geriatric services in skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers.

My expertise lies in supporting military personnel, their families, veterans, and marginalized groups in both urban and rural settings. I am proficient in delivering mental health therapy and counseling for a range of conditions, including depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), grief, intimate partner violence, and advocating for clients to ensure they receive the care they need.

Understanding that everyone requires a unique approach, I have been trained in a range of treatment modalities to include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), patient centered trauma therapy, solution focused therapy (SFBT), somatic therapy, and mindfulness therapy. I have developed a deep understanding and compassion for those in need. Through a patient centered approach, my goal is to provide the highest quality care and support to help individuals and families thrive.
Recognizing the profound impact of mental health on all aspects of life, from daily routines to relationships, I emphasize the importance of addressing mental health concerns proactively. Neglecting our mental well-being can affect our overall health significantly.

If you find yourself struggling with physical symptoms, unusual thoughts, feelings, or behaviors, I encourage you to reach out. Together, we can explore strategies to tackle the underlying issues and improve your ability to navigate daily challenges.
